Here and then, I post a piece of art that isn't directly connected to optical illusions. Still, theres a reason for me to post them, usually while it's something fresh, or simply because of the interesting approach from the author. Another title for this illusion could be "Modern ASCII Art". Matthew Egbers emailed me this set of drawings created by artist called Thomas Broome. As you see he is literally making images with words. We saw something similar with Bar Codes in the past. You should open the drawings in full size, if you want to see the words more closely. Pretty cool effect, don't you think? Matthew also wrote a letter: "I have been looking at your site for a while and really enjoy it. I happened upon this while Digging today and thought they were perfect for your site. I didn't create them and have no connection with the artist." Also be sure to check Dashhatch Illusions, for more hidden treasures!
It reminds me of a music-clip I saw a year ago I think, don't remember who made it. But it was a trip through a city, and everything was in words as in these pictures, even an unborn baby in his mother. Great stuff!

These are great works of art without them being made from words, but knowing that they are made by words only makes you appreciate them more.

I am really impressed at the number of works this artist did. That is a great indicator of how comitted this person is to his/her ideas and work. Bravo! Excellent quality!

I love how you use the words to create the art. SO BEAUTIFUL. But, I don't get why it is an "illusion"

Truely amazing pictures! Too bad that the placing of the numbers in the 'mirror' watch isn't mirrored ;-) (the one is still on the place where you should suspect the one on a normal watch)
