Flying Through City Stereogram

Frans-Jan Wind sends beautiful, yet scary illusion of a city. Wait for the image to load (or open it full size), and you will feel like flying through a city! Just like Christopher Walken did in his very own optical illusion. Be sure to check Scary Spider as well, but I warn you, those of you that suffer from arachnophobia or are submissive to seizures, shouldn't watch these animations for too long :) Here's Wind's explanation: "I found this illusion on a very nice acid house and minimal techno site. (Don't know about copyrights...) What I saw at first was not what was happening. For a moment I thought I went through the city instead of watching a loop..." For similar check: Stereo Dino, 3D Fireplace, Stereo Forrest, Tube Of Illusion...

Very awesome. It is good that there are some moving Illusions on this website, and in the Widget. This one makes you want to move your head closer and closer, and sort of draws you in. Hurts your eyes after a while of staring :P

Anyone notice that this looks like the skyline of Houston? I think I recognize the Wells Fargo Bank building.

  22. Anonymous Anonymous

Awesome!Did you notice the tall building to the right has a sort of "face" towards the bottom?

  23. Anonymous Jeff

Yeah, that is definitely Houston, TX.

  24. Anonymous Neat-Nit

    Awsome! I love it!

  25. Anonymous Anonymous

Why does everyone think they're the first post? Cool illusion though.

  26. Anonymous Anonymous

Thats rubbish. It's only flashing and moving closer to a building.
    DUUUH

  27. Anonymous Simple but true

Its ok.... A bit obvious though lol

  28. Anonymous dvjghv

heh i was so fooled by this that the buildings actually look bigger to me now than when i started looking at them. that is, they dont seem to shrink subconsciously backwards every now and then like most of these things do.

... Er, I hope you understood that... I'm not sure I did...

  29. Anonymous mike

All it is is black makes it go down and white goes up.... thats why its 'moving'

A few frames inverted, zoomed and slightly rotated. Very coarse and unconvincing
