Moving Colors Illusion

They say that if you see colors moving in this picture, you're under influence of some kind of a psychedelic. I say it's only another optical illusion. Or maybe both... You can also test your soberness with these similar illusions: real life hallucination, hyper-field illusion and eclipse of mars. How did you experience this colorful image below? I asked a few friends for an opinion, and got really different answer from each! I would like to hear your opinion, so please comment it. Thanks!

    First First!!!
What does it mean if it doesn't move?

  4. Anonymous Anonymous

Moving, in a Peter Max kind of way

  5. Anonymous Can

    YAY I'm first.

I don't see any movement, which unfortunately means that it's 4:15am and I'm sober.

  6. Anonymous Nomis

Oooo look at the pretty colours

  7. Anonymous Anonymous

    very cool!

  8. Anonymous Ashton

Definately awesome, but it's weird. I can see it moving, especially the four pink corners, but my brother can not see it move at all.

For me, the colours seem to expand a tiny bit when i first look at it, but if i move my head back and forward, the splodges kind of pulsate.

  10. Anonymous Susan

    Nope. No movement for me!

I smoke marijuana all day everyday, i have done so for 5 years now more or less, the colours slowly fade in and out of each other

They don't move for me. I looked at it for quite awhile and I almost got that effect when you look at those 3D posters, but it went away really quickly and I couldn't get it back.

When I scroll up and down fast, the colors wobble...

  14. Anonymous Hotshott

Nopes!! Not moving for me :(

  15. Anonymous Anonymous

I don't see it moving... only when I scroll up and down in a fast way, then I see the colors wobbling... But that is nice!

  16. Anonymous Love Lee Ladee

To me it seems that the colors are separate from the background. They move and jump around, staying all in one piece, while the background stays still.

  17. Anonymous Samu

    I see nothing =(

  18. Anonymous Anonymous

its been a while since theres been one like this on the site. cool though

it kind of looks like a plasma that gently undulates and pulses slightly, the indefinite edges between colors makes the whole thing indefinite and the brain explores the relative feilds of color.
explore the picture a bit, and you see the pulsing and slight movement,
there is nothing to get, explore your senses, dont attack the picture with an expectation.
    just explore it abit.
makes me think of a mandalla

  20. Anonymous Anonymous

Im 11 and sober and I can see it moving!!!!

  21. Anonymous Miscellaneous

Yeah umm... Good luck with that...... Didn't see anything moving myself, just looked like a bunch of... gee let me think... oh yeah, colors!

  22. Anonymous Anonymous

when i concentrate on the pink color the blue moves away from the black
when i con. on the aqua color the blue moves back in
when i con. on the yellow it recedes

  23. Anonymous Anonymous

I saw it move but I had to take a lot of LSD first.

  24. Blogger rrrrosieee![thevoguescene]

when i scroll up and down fast, the aqua blue moves in and out at th esides. when i firstlooked at it, the pink seemed to get smaller and smaller, then expand. when i just sit watching it, the blue beneath the pink fades to black. the white seems to slide around the pink and aqua. WHOA!

  25. Anonymous Anonymous

    After a bit of medicine (it's great tolive in California) and some Sgt. Pepper, it moves beautifully. :~}

  26. Blogger otowi

I tried what someone said about concentrating on particular colors. That works for me to get motion - when I focus on one color, the others move away, then I move to another color and the others move, so if I change focus from one color to the next fairly quickly it gives kind of an undulating tidal effect.

  27. Anonymous Anonymous

Now, when I concentrate on the pink, or the blue, then it seems like it grows...

  28. Anonymous Anonymous

    Pretty rad. :)

  29. Anonymous Fletch

Moves for me, but then so my ceiling at times.

  30. Anonymous Anonymous

AHHHH! its breathing!!! wait a minute only the pink corners are...

  31. Anonymous Anonymous

You Have To Look in The Right Place

  32. Anonymous Anonymous

I agree with the pot head. As the colors bounced and danced the center blue blob started to blend with the darker blue color around it.

  33. Anonymous Anonymous

move back in forth when you look at this picture. you can see the yellowish change to orange. it is pretty trippy. i see it.
    and i'm sober.
imagine how it would be if i weren't.

  34. Anonymous Anonymous

It seems like the picture is moving towards me or I am moving towards the picture.

  35. Anonymous andrew

cool, but makes me feel sick if i stare at it too long

  36. Anonymous Anonymous

um i dont get it either... all i saw was that it is just there you know... nothing else... but i am sober. but that dont mean anything do it? lol!

  37. Anonymous Max

I don't see this one moving, but I have a poster with a similar picture on my wall. That one has more details, to, and it makes some visitors uneasy. The effect on the poster is most visible when you move your head to and fro, but that didn't do much for me in this picture.

    Oh, and I'm sober.

  38. Anonymous chell

omg look into not at it,, first the blue moves about then the background turned colour then the pink came back in and the blue dissapeared then the blue turned black weird,,,and im sober/straight

  39. Anonymous mitchell...

Hmm... if you shake you computer IT MAY FALL! nah i was gonna shake your computer and it'll look like it's "Gellin'".. you all know what i mean.. Dr.Schols!

  40. Anonymous mitchell...

The person who made this must have took too many asprins and drew what was happening in there mind

  41. Anonymous Anonymous

It doest move unless i blink. When i blink it seems to move back then foward again.

  42. Anonymous Anonymous

it moves around a little bit. Like if I am drunk and looking at smt. Feels scary

  47. Anonymous Anonymous

  48. Anonymous Thomas Williams

  49. Anonymous Anonymous

I sooo get it, i had 2 glasses of wine over 2 hrs ago and the pink things looked kinda like they were inhaling air...very cool

  54. Blogger Fen-hi

I see the red moving to the middle.

  55. Anonymous Anonymous

definetly movement for me. the big blue blob in the middle wiggles a little bit and the pink corners shrink and grow.
