Expanding Square

Is this square really expanding? This illusion surely gives you impression it does. Starring at it for one minute, really gave me hallucination effect. This continuous motion is oldest trick in the book. Just look at our previous animations! There you can find even better ones, like Christopher Walken in space, or Scary Spider Illusion. Enjoy! Not impressed, the box does actually change size. If you zoom it with an image zoomer so you are just focusing on the edge it's quite obvious.
yes indeed, if you hold a pice of paper to the image you will notice that the both the black and whit sqaures are expanging :(

There's another illusion in there aswel, kinda. It looks like the color of the center dot is changing, but in reality, it isn't ;)
It is fake! I just opened that gif up in Adobe Imageready. You would think it just contains 2 images but there are actual 14! Cheating!

the illusion is that it appears to be expanding continuously but in fact it is expanding and contracting...
