Steve Chabot is the person who managed to beat gravity! As you see, he managed to do something, no one else has done before! There are already hundreds of followers, who made a Mystery Spot memorial sight, to honor this exciting invention! Can you guess how this optical illusion took place? Be sure to comment your thoughts. This is what Steve says: “Yes, It’s me on the pic. It was taken in the sand dunes near Tadoussak, Quebec, Canada.” Thanks for this marvelous photo! If you wanna’ check some copy-cats, be sure to see previous Anty Gravity Illusion.

Another thing I wanted to ask you all: I’m planning to build a house in a distant future, and would like to check some possibilities of exterior/interior design. I know there are programs that can help you build virtual house, and place all the furniture inside, reposition walls, doors etc. Anyone has experience with this? Which one is the best, and where could I find it online? Thanks!

I think it’s just an illusion. if you put the picture in photoshop and make the guy straight up, it appears he is just standing on a steep sand dune. Notice the branches on the bush are going the same direction as the guy is standing.

  2. Vlad says:

    it’s easy guys,

He’s actualy burried in the sand uptill just below his knees. He isn’t realy wearing his pants, he’s just holding them in front of his legs, and his shoes cover up the place where his legs enter the sand.
We used to do the same thing. if you bury yourself uptill your knees, you can get up straight from lying down without having to use your hands (like a zombie)

  3. mel says:

MJ actually had those leaning boots in one of his vid clips..

My god you dumb-wits. The ground it sloped. He’s standing strait up on the ground, and the camera is tilted. Same concept with the “mystery hole” (http://news.opb.org/photos/2007/10/1031_vortex_350.jpg) in WV.Duh.

  6. jbashku says:

3D home architect deluxe edition is a good virtual house planner.

  7. Max says:

hi i think its the ninja’s that are holding him up!!!!! lol….. i think they have taken a picture of him standing up straight then they have moved the angle.

  8. anonymous says:

second to top comment is right. in fact, my camera “doesn’t blur” automatically!

  9. Synonymous says:

    It’s simple. Basic Wizardry…

  10. luke says:

just so u all know when u look at one of these again.. grass and trees grow up.. not sideways.. and behind him there is a lil hill near the tree.. its sand.. how can the be a sandy hill on a hill?

  11. Michelle says:

My goodness people! He’s standing on a hill and probably leaning into the hill to make it look more dramatic (the grass is at a slight angle from him). The tree is slanted behind him in the same direction he is “leaning”. “how can there be a sandy hill on a hill?” – this is possible, it’s not even all that uncommon. If it was pure sand, there wouldn’t be trees or grass. The plants hold the soil in place. The camera is tilted to make it look as if the ground were flat.
    It’s not shopped.

  12. You people are bloody idiots if you can’t figure out that he’s standing on the side of a hill. I mean, seriously, it’s even been pointed out several times and you still don’t get it. This is why I have little hope for humanity.

  13. arief says:

it is not his body that lean to the ground, but the surface is like a hill (not flat), he is just take the picture as if the surface is flat

  14. me says:

He’s falling to his side. Cut and dry,
not photoshop (although it is possible to do),
it’s not a steep hill (the grass and tress would be growing up vertically parallel to himself)
Not holding onto something behind himself (he’s too fat to only use a couple fingers to steady himself)

  15. miles says:

use google sketchup it is a free downloadable program

  16. guy says:

he’s standing on a hill, the camera was rotated… not that hard to figure out

  17. Mike says:

The “Mystery Spot” is an optical illusion. The slanting of the building causes it. You also become disoriented because of the surrounding hillsides and not being able to see the true horizon. This place is in Santa Cruz. There are other places like this. I have been to two. One in Idlewild Park in Pennsylvania and another in Pennsylvania where your car appears to roll uphill. Don’t get me wrong. They are very cool places and occur rarely but it is just an illusion. Look up mystery spot in Wikipedia.

  18. kieran says:

both feet are on the floor!!!!!!! :)

  19. baccala says:

Not quite, look at the trees in the background.

  20. Ale_012 says:

I suggest for you a program called “Sweet Home 3D”. You can make rooms there and check how it looks in 3D.

    @topic
He has been just falling down and the photo has taken on right moment. I guess.

  21. imnottellingyoumyname says:

No idiots its on a hill and the pictures been
    turned ever so slightly

    P.S My name is Archie

  22. Rich Wicks says:

The guy is just tipping over. This isn’t an optical illusion.

    • nmas says:

its impossible to tip over that much u idiot

    • Hi says:

yeah i would REALLY like to see you tip over that much and not fall….

    • alle says:

i believe the person started to tip over and they took the picture as they were falling. and of course after the picture the person fell to the ground. i don’t think that anyone would think that someone could tip that much.

    • Anonymous Man!! says:

if he was tipping over, then how come his feet are flat on the ground?

    • moira says:

his clothes is hanging on one side and clinging on the other…..maybe a slight incline to get that effect?

  23. nick says:

nmas, what are you talking about? It’s not impossible to to that much.

This doesn’t mean he’s balancing like that – we don;t know what happens after the pic. maybe he falls over. Maybe he’s on his way down.

Probably just on a hill though, and the pic is tilted. Just had to point out how silly that comment was.

  24. steve says:

This is funny if someone said he managed to beat gravity. Tell it to someone else in an other planet. Anything is possible other than beating gravity, the guy may be falling towards his left side while someone taking his picture. they may had to take picture manytimes until it is perfect. Also it can be manipulated putting the guy’s pic in the field.

    • chocolatelover says:

arent there special shoes that latch onto the ground? i saw some guy do this on youtube. they have a hinge so you can tip over without falling.

  25. mell says:

lol….wrong…hes standing on a hill or some kind of incline, the picture wasn jus taken at an angle where he looks as if hes leaning and the “hill” or “incline” looks like flat ground :) … pretty cool.

  26. Mike says:

Considering that the tree in the background is also leaning in the same direction I would have to say he is on a hill.

  27. tato says:

the freaking guy doing that is impossible but.. as you can see the ground is sand.. so, if the guy is in the hill or some thing,, the sand will react on the gravity too. the sand will go down.. my theory is the guy have a one big board standing..and its shoes are sticking on it.. making the gravity weak.. like m.j. and its shoes.. see

  28. lounis says:

I think this man is really strange. He’s not normal! He’s oblique lined. I’m eager to see more people like this guy!!!

  29. Mercedes says:

He’s good, even arranged his clothes so that it looked like they were being pulled by gravity toward the ground. :)

  30. Tom says:

This isn’t an optical illusion, this is fat guy falling sideways onto the ground, which is “About to FAIL” in other words. Or this is experienced photoshopers job ://

  31. bhavesh says:

    it is really unbelievable.

  32. Michaela says:

Dude, Are you idiots if you look up michael Jackson he did it in one of his vidoes! That dude is not the only person who can do that! Stupid people get on my nerves!!!!

  33. lorpa says:

    hill + tipping
    ahahah

  34. MEPlus says:

Easy, this guy was standing on a uphill slope then shot the picture normally, turned and cropped the picture to make the ground look straight. Bingo, can you see that the trees are in the same direction as him. No real feat. Enjoy…

  35. lionel says:

According to the shadows of the trees he’s leaning over. The shadows of the trees are straight down and so is his shadow. If you look between his feet you will see something silver and the same between his legs. His feet are flat on the ground and bent at the ankles.

  36. Surabhil Jose says:

    Well!!!
    this is so simple
you jus allowed yourself to fall freely
sum1 tuk your photo b4 u landed crashing ur nose on the sand.
that is how u got dis so called”anti gravity photo”

  37. maggot says:

    cmon guys… really….
trees grow toward the sun, in the desert, no obstruction so they generally grow UPwards.
He’s on the side of a hill.

  38. myu says:

It doesn’t look like it’s on a hill though. Little plants like that don’t grow sideways from the ground, do they? o.o

  39. snehal says:

HE HAS A NAIL NDERSHOES HE BALANCES WID IT

  40. PizdaFace says:

He has a stick up the a**!

  41. OMG, really ppl. Theres a bent pole sticking out of the ground, hes leaning on it. jeesh!

  42. mario says:

hey u idiots hes standing on a hill cant u see the way the trees are leaning they’re not strait hes just standing no magic in it!!!

  43. jenny LOL! says:

wow i wish i can fly LOL wats this about???

  44. duh says:

Okay so he was leaning over a little bit, and then they tilited the pictue.

  45. Madness says:

if you look at his shadow its quiet obviouse but then again look very very very carefully you cant see where the cut was messed up a bit.

  46. rey says:

well, gravity IS a theory after all, it still hasn’t been proven…

  47. JessTheMess says:

omg .. just save the picture, and open it with a photo editor… hes standing on the side of a hill.. wow some people… (the picture was rotated and cropped, elementary stuff right there)

  48. Brookinha says:

Have you ever been in the dunes? It’s a very surreal sensation when the whole world is tipped at an angle and you have to seemingly struggle against gravity to get somewhere. Great illusion to experience.

  49. cecil white says:

the guy is laying down on a hill

  50. James Tanaka says:

Patricktrefrey might be right as the space between hkis legs is not the color of the sand!

  51. JayEvans says:

    He’s fat….

  52. Josh says:

He’s Leaning on a pole look how his hand is behind him on the side that is leaning and plus you can see the pole if u look close. Good job people!

  53. kary says:

Look people. The camera is tilted. He is standing strait up. The picture is genuine and it’s a great illusion. NO pole, he’s not lying down. Just camera tilt or a great cropping job. It’s great. keep it up.

  54. Phoebe says:

It was done with a specially designed pair of shoes. Member Michel Jackson did it. He patented the shoes a long time ago

    Welcome <3

    • Phoebe says:

I looked it up. Problem with my shoe idea is that the shoe has a hole in the heel and he used a bolt screwed into the ground to do it.

      So maybe Im wrong.

Or these people got reeeaaallllyy crafty >:D
