The reason why it's contradictory is because some people say that everyone has the right to choose whether or not they want to be taken off of life support, or, if helpless, just outright killed. The reason suicide is in this picture is because other people (like catholics and other religions) say it is suicide because a person doesn't have the right to choose when they want to do, god does that for them. the last one is actually about euthanasia.
