Here’s a minor illusion, but very nice effect! Scroll this image up and down, and you will get really strange result! It looks like the doors are “live”. Also here’s my comment on one of the previous illusions…
It was very amusing reading comments for previous post “Boy Juggling“. I see you have hard time beleiving the boy is actually juggling the size 2 soccer ball. Well he is, and here’s the author’s notice. From Flickr Category – Bikeracer: “My friend’s son juggling a mini soccer ball. Looks like it’s on the ground, instead of in the air, no? “

This is a nice illusion, but is not at all strange, this is how animation was invented.
Take a look at how the Zoetrope worked.
In the case of the monitor, differently from the Zoetrope, we don’t see the continuous movement becase the scrolling wheel of the mouse makes the page “jump” a little.
The effect is not so strong is if scroll the page using the scrolling bars.

This is just like the pencil-”illusion”. hold a pencil between your thumb and index finger, and kinda shake it. It looks like it bends.
