What you see here is an LP cover from Andrew Gold’s album. There are 32 things wrong about this picture, even though everything appears normal. I haven’t found all of them by far! Some of the most obvious ones are the drapes moving in front of the closed window, the horizon is different in the two windows, not all legs of his chair touch the ground … Now it’s your turn! Can you find them all? If you do please post one at the time, so others can post their findings too!

For those of you complaining about people not reading to see what’s posted first, remember that the comments have to be approved before they are actually posted. Therefore, it is possible that someone see’s something obvious, and posts it. And as the comment hasn’t actually been posted to the site yet, someone else can come along, see the same thing, and likewise post it.
And would have to agree, there is no way that half the things can be seen in this photo, as it is too small. (google image search showed that that was the biggest size, though,) so there is not hi-res to verify, though can sorta make some of it out. For instance, saw the cigarette, but no way to tell that it’s filterless. However, should he happen to have the original cover, would be able to see easily, though more than likely looked them up.
The man has only three fingers on his right hand and ther is no celing in his room.
Also the right window seems further away.

Dude, that lamp shade is correct, it’s not upside down. It’s one of those that reflects off the ceiling.

John – That cover for the second album “What’s wrong With This Picture” was very interesting.
Andrew – Ethan Russel came up with that. He had a lot of covers that looked kind of the same. Where there was kind of a set and a full person on the cover and there would be very little special effects. Of course special effects were not as easy as they are now. For the cover we set up this set of just two walls and a floor with fake windows and posters of the sea behind them. That’s one of the things wrong with it the sea levels were deliberately different in both windows. The window that’s closed is blowing the curtain and the window that’s open has a curtain hanging straight so there all kinds of stuff working on that cover.
John – Yeah, deliberate continuity craziness.
Andrew – Yeah, we did every little tiny thing that we could think of and I think at the end there was thirty-three or thirty-four things wrong with the picture. I brought in a coat with the letters A.G. you know my initials on the coat arm and we had them sewn on backwards and they were facing backwards but in the mirror you see A.G. the right way. So anyway those kinds of things were really fun to do. Most of the ideals were Ethan’s. We had a contest around that cover that was quite popular actually and the test was to find all the things wrong with the cover then you get a date with Andrew Gold. (Laughing) I don’t remember what the prize was but anyway someone wrote in and said, “There’s nothing wrong with the front cover but on the back that shirt doesn’t match that jacket. (laughing)

there is a shadow of a shelf behind the coat and the mirror to the right of the door has a reflection of the door and the coat even though the mirror isn’t facing them (reflecting a strange angle).
the wine in the bottle is red, it’s just very low, however look betwene the bottle and the glass…also the wine in the glass apears to be leaning,
the guitar on the floor has no strings the guitar in his hand only has one.
the laces on his shoes are backwards
the mirror is reflecting correctly according to the angle of the viewer however the chair by the door has no back yet there’s a shadow of it on the wall.
lets see theres a hot dog in the bagel, the chair he is sitting on ismissing a leg the guitar is plugged to the phone, the window is closed and it moving and then thew other window is open and the curtains not moving, the door does not have a door knob and i think the antenna is not conected to the tv, i might be wrong
Theres a mirror at the left with the door and a coat reflecting in it…but theres no coat on the other side of the door where it should be.

in the mirror, shouldn’t it show the plant?? i see the jacket and the door but no plant. I could be wrong though… the jacket might be covering the plat but i doubt that

I read all the comments and no one wrote this: the body of the person is of a woman (the whole body) and the head of a man. someone said tht the leg is of a woman and another person said he has no hair.

There isn’t a hand coming out of the floor. It’s an album cover. You can see a face near it, too.

If you look at the rectangles on the door, they should be reversed in the mirror but they aren’t. If you don’t understand… The tops of the rectangles on the doors are going from North-West to South-East right? In the mirror, it’s going the same direction but it should be North-East to South-West. I think.
1. The curtains in front of the closed window are blowing in the wind, while those in front of the open window are hanging straight. 2. The horizon visible through the left window is higher than that visible through the right one.
3. The waves visible through the left window cannot be seen through the right one.
4. The door frame is not square. The top piece extends too far to the left.
5. The legs on the chair next to the door are not touching the floor.
6. The cord leading from the electric guitar on the floor runs to the telephone instead of a wall jack.
7. The wine glass contains red wine, while the wine bottle contains white wine. 8. The left front leg of the guitarist’s chair doesn’t touch the floor.
9. The open window sashes are upside down.
22.The walls of the room appear to be covered with exterior rather than interior plaster.
23.The palm-like plant to the left of the “wine” table does not appear to be planted in the pot beneath it.
24.The “shade” on the floor lamp in front of the open window appears to either be upside down or a bowl.
25.There appear to be odd things on top of the stereo receiver.
26.The antenna sitting on top of the TV does not appear to be connected to the antenna wire attached to the upper left back corner of the TV set. That wire appears to lead into a leaf on the plant. 27.A filtered cigarette is sticking out of the crumpled pack of Camel unfiltered cigarettes lying next to the wine bottle.
29.There does not appear to be a door knob on the door. The top hinge is visible on its left side, so a door knob should be just to the left and below the spot where the doorbell is shown.
29.Given the apparent lighting in the room, the shadow of the chair next to the door may not be right.
30.The floor looks to be sub flooring that should be covered with carpet or hardwood strips.
31.I’m not sure why there is a double-barreled shotgun propped up in the corner between the door and the mirror.
32.The apparent deck of cards sitting next to the TV set might have a problem.
33.The photo on the cover of Andrew Gold’s previous album (visible on the floor leaning against the music bench) might not look as it actually did when sold in stores. Ditto for the cover on the issue of People Magazine that is lying on the floor beneath the TV set. In fact, I’m not sure that Andrew Gold ever appeared on a People Magazine cover.
He’s in Antarctica! Also… this is for Ryan: WHERE DID YOU GET THE IDEA THAT THE SPEEKER BEHIND THE GUY IS WEDGED IN HIS BACK. But i’ll tell you what’s wierd though, it’s not 100% on there.

Okay, I think Andrew Gold on the old album cover on the floor has black hair, but in the original he has blond hair, might be just because it’s dark though.

I can’t look at this kind of thing for too long, because I’ve been taumatised by all those perfectly normal images that have faces jumping out at you.
It’s daytime, but the tv’s reflection is that of a darkly lit room. There really shouldn’t be that much shadow cast from the lighting from the tv (like the guitar for example) in such an already lit up room.
everyone who said the guitar was missing a top is wrong. the top is blocked by the tv. how could you ALL miss that?

In his previous album, on the floor, sort of between the class of wine and the chair legs, his name is spelled wrong. It says Adrew Gold.
Obvious ones were the guitar he’s holding has no head. The curtains are blowing, but the window is not open. The OTHER window (the one on the right) is open and their curtains are not blowing… others ones, but those were most obvious from the two seconds I looked at it.

Strange white/silver fruit in the bowl, for a righthanded guitarplayer the strings are upside down and there are strings missing on the fretside while they are present in the beginning , on the left reflection of the door is a white woodden edge wich is not there, the hook on witch the coat is hanging is upside down, the right curtains are hanging too high, underneath the right window there’s a smaller dark woodden edge in opposite of the left window, the horizon on the postcard is not right, the object behind the glass of wine is not standing on the table, there’s something goldcolourd in the bottle (on the bottom) that not suppose to be in there while the corck is floting in the bottle, under the table on witch the TV is standing on you can see some parts of vynil, I don’t know why, but this can’t be right, when it’s november the tefephonebook can’t be on the half of it’s pages.

Hi, I might be wrong, but it seems as though the reflection in the mirror of the door and the jacket hanging on the wall next to it is not consistent with the angle in real life.
