This cool tap appears to magically float in the sky, with an endless supply of water. If you think for a second, you will easily come to a conclusion how this modern installment can be possible. If you know where this Magic Tap can be found, be sure to comment!

Well, that design was found at the Lions Club Expos when I was a kid. Don’t know about that particular installment though.

  2. Captain Ron says:

You can also see it at most Ripley’s museums. *Yawn*

  3. WOW says:

The installment is a big pipe being covered by the water. And dissapearing by the white wash pressure being forced downwards contiusaly.

  4. Kai says:

You can buy a smaller version at most Spencers. I thought it was pretty cool.

  8. Rj says:

  13. kiki says:

welll basically everyone answered it what i was going to answer, but I want to say it anyways ^_^ the water goes down and in the inside the water goes up and i found tht at the ocean city maryland ripleys believe it or not museum

  14. (:-# says:

You can find one on Lanzarote. I believe it is made by the local artist Cesar Manrique.

  15. ??? says:

Its really cool, and i know that there is a pipe holding this tap beneath the presaure of the water coming down. Its simple, water goes up the pipe and comes back down around the pipe looking like the tap is floating and letting out loads of water…
I wouldn’t like to be underneath that pipe!

  16. Frappo says:

    Quote age:
“simple it has a pipe within the stream and saports the top…”

Translation: This trick is simple. The saucet is being supported by a pipe hidden within the stream of water.

  17. gjsmo says:

There’s usually on at the NYS State fair. It’s not as good though – you can kind of see the pipe.

  18. Captain Obvious says:

Thanks for giving me the answer 50 million times…

  19. salmon says:

the support beam is in the water.

  20. Rosy says:

  25. WantonAnton says:

I’ve seen that trick before. i live on the east coast and theres a place called ocean city, where theres a ripley’s believe it or not museum, and it has one of those never ending floating tapes. everythime i passed it i couldn’t figure it out, til my cousin spoiled it for me and told me about the pipe in the middle….

  29. XJR says:

I’ve seen this in Belgium in Germany.

  30. kada says:

wo this amazes me, and i had 2 reed sum1s comment and know i am mad cuz i know how it works

  31. Xybelle says:

I’ve seen those at various waterparks in the US. They’re pretty cool.

  32. Danielle says:

i saw one of these on my holiday in tenerife at the water park, a thick white pipe is hidden beneath the flow of water supporting it

  33. Dave Rattigan says:

There used to be one at Blackpool Pleasure Beach in England. Not sure if it’s still there. Last time I saw it was probably 10 years ago.

  34. Caleb Dewberry says:

its taking the moisture out of the air and all that moisture is coming out of the pipe, and its coming out with so much force that its supporting the pipe in midair? just kidding

  35. REYANA says:

theres a glass pipe where the water in flowing and it sucks in the water then spits it back out. it stands in the air cuz the glass pipe is stuck to the swimming pool or whatever it is.

  36. Bobsta says:

i saw a huge one of these in Minorca

  37. muni says:

pipes hidden in the water? ye all are disbelievers, tis a divine tap! and the water flowing from it is HOLY WATER! Twas put there to symbolise the strength and importance of water on this land.

  38. Mike says:

yea, I’ve seen one of those smaller ones of those. It has a pipe in it.

  39. Belinda says:

Theres a huge purple one in a museum on Phillip Island here in Victoria, Australia.

  40. illusion braker says:

i’ve seen this, stick your hand in and u can feel a pipe going all the way up

  41. kris from england says:

theres one of them in menorca

  42. Gman says:

its not photoshop or anything. they had soething like this at the Ripleys exebit. There is a perfectly clear pipe in the center with water running up it. It comes out at the top and flows down the outside of the pipe. Since the wole thing is covered in water, you can barley see the inside, making it look like just water

  43. jess says:

    That’s in Duinrell, in holland…?

  44. Anonymous says:

  49. Anonymous says:

well i don’t know about this one but i do know an identical fountain is as the Ripley’s believe it or not Museum in St. Augustine

  50. Anonymous says:

    wow where is that

  51. Optiguy says:

I’ve seen that before, but it’s still awesome!

  52. GmanX says:

It works because it has a clear plastic pipe in the middle of the water flow, holding up the structure, and pumping up water which is then forced out creating the illusion that it is floating in mid air, but you just see through the piping.

  53. Illusional Canadian says:

There is also a simular version to this in West Edmonton Mall, Alberta, Canada. In the indoor waterpark there is a childrens area which features this “invisible tap”. It’s funny to watch the little kids stare at it in amasement…

  54. LETS MOCK FRAPPER!!! says:

Proof it doesnt pay to treat people like idiots:

    To Quote ‘Frappo’, comment no.16-
“Quote Age: ‘simple it has a pipe within the stream and saports the top…’

Translation: This trick is simple. The saucet is being supported by a pipe hidden within the stream of water.”

    SAUCET??? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

You take the trouble to publicly embarrass someone for their spelling, yet you cant spell your own Americanism?

    Serves you right, smart alec.

  55. read the comments!!!!! says:

Surely it isnt THAT painful to read other people’s comments?

I’ve counted 14 DIFFERENT PEOPLE who have ALL given THE SAME ANSWER!!!

WE GET IT, THERE IS A PIPE, YOU DONT NEED TO SAY IT AGAIN!!!!!!!!

  59. theemmerz94 says:

I know!! they had mini, older looking ones at “the cracker barrel”. by the way, good food! well, anyway, there is a clear, plastic tube where you see all of the water. the tube holds up the drain. yay for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  60. Anonymous says:

I saw a tap very similar to this on a school trip to Belgium in 2006, but i have no idea where about it was. Does anyone know, thanks :)

  61. Acitra says:

There’s another version of this using a sculpted clear tube that turns mechanically. It looks very real, without using any water at all.

  62. Mari says:

One of those is in Finnish amusement park called “Särkänniemi”. We had fun staring at it with my friends…

  63. Cait says:

I saw this at Ripley’s Believe It Or Not in Williamsburg,VA. But it was a smaller version. It had to fit indoors.

  70. Lena says:

I’ve read there is a copy in Zurich

  71. autumnwood says:

there is one such magic tap illusion displayed in the ripley’s believe it or not museum in innovative filmcity, bangalore, karnataka, india. it sure is amazing

  72. ace says:

its in queensland australia ripleys believe it or not.

  74. lagan says:

    its in aqualand in cadiz

  75. Brandon says:

Clearly it’s photoshopped, just look at the water coming out near the top left side, it just seems odd, and if there were a clear pipe, both water and the pipe itself would shummer in the sun, this could also be some tricky guy with good wallpapering skills sink. This just seems to outrageous to be real.

  76. Anonymous says:

There’s one at the water collection station in Oostduinkerke, Belgium

not photoshopped at all and quite puzzling when you see it as a child :D took me a long time to figure this out

  77. Zinhgan says:

I have seen it, it is in Aquapark Octopus in canary islands, well I can belive theres many of those around, the watersupply pipe, which also keeps it in air, is in the shower..
