Magic Tap Illusion

This cool tap appears to magically float in the sky, with an endless supply of water. If you think for a second, you will easily come to a conclusion how this modern installment can be possible. If you know where this Magic Tap can be found, be sure to comment!

Well, that design was found at the Lions Club Expos when I was a kid. Don't know about that particular installment though.

You can also see it at most Ripley's museums. *Yawn*

  3. Anonymous WOW

The installment is a big pipe being covered by the water. And dissapearing by the white wash pressure being forced downwards contiusaly.

You can find one on Lanzarote. I believe it is made by the local artist Cesar Manrique.

  15. Anonymous ???

Its really cool, and i know that there is a pipe holding this tap beneath the presaure of the water coming down. Its simple, water goes up the pipe and comes back down around the pipe looking like the tap is floating and letting out loads of water...
I wouldn't like to be underneath that pipe!

    Quote age:
"simple it has a pipe within the stream and saports the top..."

Translation: This trick is simple. The saucet is being supported by a pipe hidden within the stream of water.

  17. Anonymous hfhrtytry

    cool

  18. Anonymous gjsmo

There's usually on at the NYS State fair. It's not as good though - you can kind of see the pipe.

  32. Anonymous Xybelle

I've seen those at various waterparks in the US. They're pretty cool.

  33. Anonymous Danielle

i saw one of these on my holiday in tenerife at the water park, a thick white pipe is hidden beneath the flow of water supporting it

  34. Anonymous Dave Rattigan

There used to be one at Blackpool Pleasure Beach in England. Not sure if it's still there. Last time I saw it was probably 10 years ago.

  35. Anonymous Caleb Dewberry

its taking the moisture out of the air and all that moisture is coming out of the pipe, and its coming out with so much force that its supporting the pipe in midair? just kidding

  36. Anonymous REYANA

theres a glass pipe where the water in flowing and it sucks in the water then spits it back out. it stands in the air cuz the glass pipe is stuck to the swimming pool or whatever it is.

  37. Anonymous Bobsta

i saw a huge one of these in Minorca

  38. Anonymous muni

pipes hidden in the water? ye all are disbelievers, tis a divine tap! and the water flowing from it is HOLY WATER! Twas put there to symbolise the strength and importance of water on this land.

  39. Anonymous Mike

yea, I've seen one of those smaller ones of those. It has a pipe in it.

  40. Anonymous Belinda

Theres a huge purple one in a museum on Phillip Island here in Victoria, Australia.

  41. Anonymous illusion braker

i've seen this, stick your hand in and u can feel a pipe going all the way up

  42. Anonymous kris from england

theres one of them in menorca

  43. Anonymous Gman

its not photoshop or anything. they had soething like this at the Ripleys exebit. There is a perfectly clear pipe in the center with water running up it. It comes out at the top and flows down the outside of the pipe. Since the wole thing is covered in water, you can barley see the inside, making it look like just water

  44. Anonymous jess

    That's in Duinrell, in holland...?

  45. Anonymous Anonymous

  50. Anonymous Anonymous

well i don't know about this one but i do know an identical fountain is as the Ripley's believe it or not Museum in St. Augustine

  51. Anonymous Anonymous

    wow where is that

  52. Anonymous Optiguy

I've seen that before, but it's still awesome!

  53. Anonymous GmanX

It works because it has a clear plastic pipe in the middle of the water flow, holding up the structure, and pumping up water which is then forced out creating the illusion that it is floating in mid air, but you just see through the piping.

  54. Anonymous Illusional Canadian

There is also a simular version to this in West Edmonton Mall, Alberta, Canada. In the indoor waterpark there is a childrens area which features this "invisible tap". It's funny to watch the little kids stare at it in amasement...
