Hybrid Images

Hybrid images are able to change interpretation as a function of viewing distance. In these examples below, you might think that what you are seeing is absoulte. But ask someone to tell you what he sees while looking at the pictures from a few meters away. You may get really different answer from yours. So follow these steps: first open this article to see whole set of pictures, then open them full screen, then observe them closely. Now step few meters from your computer screen and look again. You will see how your interpretation changes! Brilliant! Thanks goes to Jason Cutler for his submitission! Did you get all of these illusions? Be sure to comment your experience, as well as your hints for other readers. Which one you liked the most?

thanks...you had me walking all over the room to look at these pictures from different distances. Quite amazing what the eye can see!

What am I supposed to see? I can't see a difference. Only that, if I go far enough, you can't see the "tiger-look" propper anymore, but I doubt that that's the trick?

This works without moving away from the monitor as well... try slightly crossing your eyes like you are looking at one of those '3D' illusion paintings.. The frowning girls and the angry lady seem to work the best for me... pretty cool.

When you step back the bicycle looks like a motorcycle, the four heads change sex when you step back they look male and when you are up close they look female, the two girls change their expression up close they are frowning step back and they are smiling, the next two heads change expression as well the angry face is on the left up close and on the right when you step back

The only thing that happens when I back away from the screen is that I simply cannot see the screen... However crossing my eyes makes the images change.

Man! That's pretty awesome! It also helps if you kind of look at a different part of the screen! Well, at least that's just my opinion! Great job.
