Peter van Munster sent me this picture yesterday. As you see it’s another impossible object. Colud you construct this thing in real life? Peter wrote: “Hi, I stumbled upon your website and I enjoy it very much. I even have a submission for your Impossible Objects section. It’s a variant on the impossible triangle, this time it’s a rectangle.” If you also have some interesting illusional pictures, feel free to submit them to my email adress (in the sidebar), and if they are good,we’ll publish them online!

    it’s a trapezoid.

  22. kevin says:

lol actually its a trapezoid, not a rectangle. rectangles have two sets of paralell sides and 90 degree angles.

Neat-o! I haven’t seen this one before! Very nice.

  24. Anonymous says:

    it’s not impossible….it’s so easy…

  25. Nigel says:

Simple: it is a mobeious (I know I spelled it wrong) strip. take a piece of paper, give it one 1/2 turn, glue the ends together, and voila! Try to trace your finger around only one side.
