This kind’a reminds me of an old classic film called “The Warriors”. You’ve probably seen it – remember the song “In The City”? Well your asignent is to try and spot what is the optical illusion behind this picture? Can you recognize the city in the image below? I don’t think so… Jump inside the post for the solution!

Hehe tricked you this time. As you see, it isn’t a city at all – just a commercial for micro chips, electronics and processors by CoBis. Have to admit, first time I saw this, I fell for it too! Really amazing resemblance… Did you recognize the mother board of a computer the first time you saw previous image? Optical Illusions rule!

wow thisone is easy…. i have to say it took me about 2 seconds to notice it was a chip but it was easy… you need some hard ones sometime

  2. MikeDX says:

You had me fooled! I like it :)

  3. irreality says:

Too easy man – try for something a little more difficult.

  4. Walt says:

Actually I saw the micro chips right off, but I have been repairing data systems for 30 years.

I love the effect though. Good find.

  5. sodajoda says:

Poor Illusion! Is it a illusion at all? Played Micro-city as i was a child…

  6. bobo says:

    wow yah fooled me

o and im the first entry HOORAY!!!!!

  7. Black Rabbit says:

    Circuit Board, sweet.

  8. James says:

I caught on right away. but again, i’m a nerd like that.

  9. Brad says:

imgine if that was a real micro chip that could actualy do something!

  10. bowler says:

duh, its a peice of circuit board from a computer

  11. goodydaze says:

    Had me fooled.

  12. David says:

It is not a city, but a circuitboard.

  13. Matt says:

Got it in one guess. Nice try, though.

  14. cool mojo says:

it doesnt look like a city to me, but that may be becauseim blind

  15. iCoyote says:

Of course I know what city it is – it’s SimCity.

  16. Jhonka says:

I always thought circuitboards looked like little cities, so I got it right away.

  17. Chris16447 says:

I’ve seen too many motherboards to be fooled by that one.

  18. Phoond says:

it just looked like a motherboard when i first saw it, then i saw some towers, then i got it.

  19. Josipa (cro) says:

    easy

  20. gjsmo says:

If anybody has seen the inside of a computer, probaby even if not, they would know that this is a motherboard. THIS IS LAME!!!

  21. ME says:

That was hella easy. I knew it was a micro chip from the moment i saw it.

  22. kitty says:

    stupid! ;[

  23. Steph says:

I’m 12, and I found it right off.
    You need harder ones.

  24. V00D00 says:

I only saw a city because of the title but it is very obvious that it’s a motherboard.

  25. I Boy says:

You wasted your time making that :(

  26. melky says:

I realized it wasnt a city but i thought it was made of leggos!

  27. quirky-gal..x says:

okay at first glance it kinda looks like a city but when you look at the ‘ground’ and you look at the ‘buildings’ again you can see it’s a chip or if not some kind of electronic device. p.s.(for melky) you spell lego plurally like this-lego! it’s like sheep!

  28. niki says:

easy, its a circuit board!!! Can’t fool me.

  29. niki says:

and brad: “imgine if that was a real micro chip that could actualy do something!”

And your saying a city can’t do anything?

  30. '*-._.-Wii-._.-*' says:

Well when I saw what appeared to be the [long gone] Twin Towers in New York, that’s what I figured it was. But then I noticed some odd water-like places by it, and noticed the chips. Very good!

  31. Rona says:

^^ Nice one. Almost fooled me. But the cylindrical “towers” in the bottom left corner look too much like part of a circuit board.

  32. Attila911US says:

I admit it. I was fooled for a moment. The fact that I couldn’t recognize it for several seconds qualifies it as an “Optical Illusion!” What if you weren’t LOOKING for anything unusual? Would you notice it as quickly? I don’t think so.

    ‘*-._.-Wii-._.-*’ :
    Hey, Me too!
I thought I saw new york. probarly only since my bro hasn’t taken any computers apart very recently.

  34. Anonymous says:

at first i focused on the twin towers and i thought , that isnt New York because the buildings around the towers are different , then i looked arounda little and noticed some pci slots, and a bunch of PC mother boards butted against eachother :P
cool, then twin towers look like they are about where the cpu should be, so they must be some weird head sink i never seen before of they are added to the scene photoshoped ?

  35. Anonymous says:

    same with me #8

  36. Anonymous says:

it was easy but still cool

  37. Anonymous says:

I’m sorry, but some of you are so rude. Here we have someone putting up some cool stuff and a handful of you are ungrateful enough to say things like, “That’s LAME!” and “STUPID!” Good lord, if you don’t like it, don’t comment on it.

I’m not trying to start a fight, but I’ve been enjoying this site for some time now, and it always makes me sad when I see comments like that. Okay, so maybe it wasn’t super hard, but it was fun and looks cool and it’s entertaining. That’s the most important part. If you want something to confuse you and make you think really hard, work on some quantum physics or make a perpetual motion device.

And not eveyone falls under this catagory, but a few of you do. I just don’t find it polite or tactful.

And with all that being said, I liked it, I thought it was cool. It made me smile even though I figured it out after looking at it for a few seconds.

  38. yanka says:

yeah, the first time i saw this one i knew it can’t be a city, it didn’t have any roads, and a city always has roads

  39. Anonymous says:

Omg this is so easy why dont ppl try and trick me!

  40. Anonymous says:

i knew that!!!i used to play with microchips….thing like these

  41. Ria says:

I had a feeling it was a chip or circuit board from the get go but i was trying to picture it as a city cuz i’m gullible like that, oh well

  42. Anonymous says:

I noticed it realy quickly because I have always noticed how computer componants look like citys.

  43. The Shnazzer says:

i though it was “New York”, but then again i never actually really ever LOOKED at a microchip/motherboard..

  44. Optiguy says:

That is so cool. I never would have guessed.

  45. Anonymous says:

Dude, please tell me, do my eyes deceive myself?

    -zymer2003-

  46. Anonymous says:

It doesn’t look like a city because there is so much empty land inside, and randomly there is skyscrppers

  47. Anonymous says:

you got me man, I tought it was sci-fi newyork or some sort.

  48. Cecilia says:

it had me fooled until i read what sheepdawg said

  49. Anonymous says:

lol 1 second I was only looking at the “skyscrapers”, then looked at the rest and said, “Oh, that’s SOOOO a computer chip thingy!”

  50. Anonymous says:

i have to say.. i really thought that was a city

  51. Anonymous says:

    Ace :)

My dad has alot of micro chips- god knows why,
And when i was little i used to imagine them as tiny cities with tiny people living in them
    ahh good times (Y)

    xo

  52. RaNdOm says:

    its a circut bord

  53. Anonymous says:

it took me a few seconds to realise what they were

  54. roelin says:

    these are computor chips WTH

  55. Frenchi says:

    I recognise the two towers…

  56. Sammi says:

2 seconds in I realise it was micro chips.

  57. Minispeed says:

    all cities have streets

  58. randompasserby324 says:

OMG I GOT IT :D and then i was like, nah, it can’t be… so i checked… AND I WAS RIGHT! haha i feel all nerdy now :D

I actually was playing with my friends old M/B last week… So that’s probs why i realised it wasn’t a city right away. lol.

  59. Me says:

ITS CIRCUIT CITY YAY! Cool illusion i think that is one of the best on this website.

  60. MadGerald says:

I want to live in a city with giant RAM slots and IDE ports. Was ANYONE really fooled by this?

  61. Awesome Anonymous says:

i figured it out when i read, its not a city at all, =)

  62. babar says:

    goodone

  63. Radical Bombs says:
