This is what I just found in my mail box. One of our fans, Arturo Contreras was messing with photoshop, and accidentally created this optical illusion. As you see, the horizontal lines appear bent and distorted, while infact they are perfectly straight. This shows you how some of the “greatest” inventions in the history of the world are created by pure accident. Same goes for most of the optical illusions. This is what Arturo wrote:

“Hi. I’ve been checking out your blog for a while and I really enjoy it. Well on to my submission. I was just fooling around on the photoshop trying to create a pattern and mistakenly created this thing, it’s pretty cool. enjoy!”

Arturo, I think this is excellent. I love the way the whole image pops! The lines appear both to wiggle and curve slightly even though they are perfectly straight.

    Good job!

Its like if you see it , it looks all bent and distorted, if you think 4 a while, you elize that they are straight lines, its just that the color of the line is switching from red to white, oh ya, im getting that after effect on this image, if a stare @ a wall i c red lines

  13. i got it says:

if you stare at the boudary lines cinnecting each bar, with open eyes you will see that it is straight

  14. I actually had to take a number of looks to see what you were talking about, because the Horizontal lines ARE straight and do not look bent. You have to stare at them for a while to see the “bends”. I’ve seen better optical illusions.
