Few days ago user caled Comanche sent us this interesting optical illusion. At first I didn’t notice the illusion behind it, but next time I saw it, I noticed it immediately (eventhough, only by pure accident). Try to look at the image, then close your eyes, then open them again, and as your eyes try to focus the image, the white line seems t expand! Hope it works for you! You have to practice a bit, unfortunately. This is what Comanche originally said about his work:
I saw this illusion when I tried to do something in photoshop. Look at the line in the middle and blink. After that the line looks as it becomes bigger. Hope you can see that too, and it’s not only my imagination.

It’s your eyes adjusting to the sudden change of lighting when you blink.

Actually for me it seems to be growing thicker instead of wider, maybe its because I’m sitting rather far away from my computer, or maybe its just a different perspective for everyone?
No, it’s just getting thicker 4 me aswell but I don’t think it’s actually that it cracks up to be cause all it is, is that your eyes are changing what they see cause it’s too bright to keep the focus

try this! stare at it for 20 seconds then look away and look at a wall and blink your eyes rapidley.

WOOT! PEOPLE! THERS ANOTHER ILLUSION ON THIS PIC! close your eyes slowly.(dont close it completely)you will see that the lines beside the line in the middle shrink!!!!
youll see it shrinking but it really aint!
if you dont look at it directly but can still see it, the line appears to be moving

it’s only works if you look it with both of your eyes
and if you close your eyes after looking at it for a while the colours revers

i also saw black dots down the white line…
it also works if you close you eyes for a few seconds and suddently look at the white line. it gets bigger =D
