Stereograms Category contains some true stereograms along with other illusions that appear 3D if you view them correctly. It's about 3D images, hidden within other pictures. In order to view the 3D images, simply stare at the picture until the image starts to take it's shape and jump out at you. Stereographic vision allows you to perceive the world as 3D. Objects look like they are in front of other objects, while in fact they are not. What allows us to see in 3d is the fact that our eyes each see a slightly different image. A simple test to see if you are able to see the images in the stereograms is to hold a finger up in front of you and look at something behind it. Without shifting focus to your finger, how many fingers do you see? If you see two ghosted images of your finger, this is the first step toward being able to see these 3d images. In short, while looking at Stereograms, concentrate your eyes, like watching something behind the screen, and then 3D image should take it's shape.
