I have seen alot of these and to be honest it’s just as simple as tiling your walls but in a different pattern.

This cafe is at the bottom of St Michaels Hill, Bristol, England. I live round the corner from it. This illusion was first described by Richard Gregory (Gregory & Heard, 1979)after he noticed it in the pattern of tiles on a Cafe.

I don’s know if this is the one pictured, but there a cafe with this effect in Bristol, England.
