M. C. Escher (Maurits Cornelius Escher, 1898 - 1972) was a Dutch graphic artist known for his often mathematically inspired woodcuts, lithographs and mezzo tints which feature impossible constructions, explorations of infinity, and tessellations. He's masterpieces are inspiration to many artists who create optical illusions. This category includes Escher's most popular creations, along with other artist's illusions that resemble Escher's popular work.
