One of our faithfull visitors, Leo Sakari submitted this awesome optical illusion. We had simmilar ones in the past, like: “Two Monoliths”, “Flowers”, “2 Arrows”, “Lines in a street”, “Soldiers”, “Lines no.2″… but in a way, I think this one shows you the best how your eyes & brain can decive you! This is the description of following illusion: “The black (bold) line in the back seems much longer than the one in the front because your brain assumes it is seeing the effect of perspective. When the background is removed, the lines are seen to be equal”.

WTF!! The bold of the left corner and the bold line of the middle-inner corner are the same! Nice one!

    Pretty trippy!
I had to get out the ruler to make sure they are the same size, I still find it pretty hard to believe just by looking at it that they are.

It is too because there is a small change in the two angles, they are not paralell to each other. It is really hard to see though.
