Why do the roads on the ends all of a sudden dissapear.... is it cause they are going in a tunnel... HMMMMMMMMMMM..........

It is a failure in the photo-match system of google-maps. It should be well-aligned by a computer program but the angle of the different composing pictures produce this error.

yea google earth does thsi alot, you cant expect everything to come out perfect, the computer doesnt see what its doing, but anyway, this is pretty cool

You'll find mismatches on about every seam you see in GE

but to explain this to you who still haven't got it:
Google Earth is made of of hundreds of different sattelite photo's. these photo's has to be "fused" together so they made one huge image of the earth. however, the computers who fuse these images can't make perfet fits, so sometimes, roads and such come out like in the image above. the two I found are just a couple of random I found while searching around. for the second one, look at the round thingie.

It's just a mismatch of the map, i guess ;-) But it is a good one. I live in The Netherlands, Europe, but i use Google map for the United States pretty often!

Pfft half of Calgary is haunted then. Sericously, theres a mismatch pretty much down the center of the city on a roughly North-South line. Gets annoying for us Calgarians!

id believe it's a mismatch if it wasn't for the fact that that trees and stuff on either sides of the roads are perfectly in line....!! creepy.

it is obvious that there has been a error when google have fused it together cos u can see the change of color in the road!

s-r-ex, i looked at both of your things, and nothing is wrong with either one of them! what the heck do you see in them? they are just normal pictures!

i think they use all these differnt square shaped pictures of all the differnt places and they pick out the ones that have the least amount of clouds or something and put them all together almost perfectly, so all the differnt pictures of the places wre taken on differnt days, maybe there was differnt traffic on that day. it`s a coll illusion, i`ve found a couple too.

Regarding S-r-ex's comment:
The second coordinates (55*36'03N - 12*45'05E) don't show a bad merge,they show an underwater tunnel. The other end of it is located at 55*37'49.88 N, 12*40'42.77 E. They do this to keep the waterway open for ships. The other side of the island has a long bridge connecting it to that mainland, so ships can't get through there. (Note the cool bridge shadow!)

My only problem is, it could be a stitching error but if you move the "middle road" up the hedgerow above it doesn't match the hedge/trees to the left?

The actual highway is an exact mirror image of itself. Its been fliped (by PhotoShop TM by Google Earth TM, or by the mysterious parallel mirror world that exists that can be seen from the satellite because of a solar flare.

The real roads are under trees from a bird's eye-view!?!!?!?!
