Wheel of Confusion Magic Trick

Which way is the wheel turning!? Focus on the red dots and follow them round... it appears to be rotating anti-clockwise. However, if you follow the yellow dots round instead, the whole wheel will be turning the other way! - clockwise!

    holy fuck thats weird

  2. Anonymous Confuzled

    It's roatating counter-clockwise

  3. Anonymous ihope

I'm guessing that every other frame shows the wheel itself in the same position, so one could say it's moving clockwise just as much as counter-clockwise.

  4. Anonymous Donovf

    Anti-clockwise

    stop messing with my mind

  6. Anonymous georgina

the red dots are rotating the opposite way to the yellow dots

  7. Anonymous surfingnotworking

i like this one. as you focus on the yellow or red dots for a few seconds, they seem to change direction.

  8. Anonymous caff

    DUUUUUUDE!!!!!!

  9. Anonymous babyapple

they ARE going in opposite directions...lets say if the red dots are sumhow connected to the triangle thingy..follow one of the red dots with the trangle..notice how one moment a yellow dot's on the triangle n the next its not there

  10. Anonymous Jokken

The wheel shifts to the left for a fraction, then to the right.

  11. Anonymous Squiggy

AAAH! That's just crazy... how on EARTH does it work???

  12. Anonymous Chris

there are actually 2 wheels shown

if you follow one "peg" w/ red on top, the yellow in it alternates every other

  13. Anonymous RiniSan

    *hiccup* er... I'm getting dizzy..

  14. Anonymous RaiderX

thats cool, its rotating counter-clockwise and the red dots are just rotatin opposite

  15. Anonymous lestat

the red dots are rotating differently from the yellow dots, red are rotating counter-clockwise and the the yellow dots and on the wheel are rotating clockwise... what the hell, it's just a gif file, that's what it is... good though.

  16. Anonymous Donkey

Follow the red dots, then the yellow dots. Then quickly look to the "V2" in the middle and the whole wheel "explodes" (as in gets heaps bigger real quick). But only for a split second.

  17. Anonymous Hai

they're actually rotating towards the opposite directions of each other

  18. Anonymous Tony

There rotating the same way, just at different speeds.

  19. Anonymous jug

the red ones are mving counter the yellow moving clockwise and the wheel is not moving not that hard you retards!

  20. Anonymous Dookie

The red dots are moving all by 'emselves, and they are not keeping up with the wheel.

  21. Anonymous niki

if you look from the red dots to the yellow ones really fast it looks like the whole wheel shifts!

  22. Anonymous niki

oh, and i have an image viewer called well 'preview' that let's you see movies frame by frame. Anyway it says it just four images repeated over and over again. looking at that I can see that the wheel spokes (or the brown lines) do move as well as the dots. I incourage all mac users to try looking at this!

  23. Anonymous sam

other way around the yellow dots are seperate i think

  24. Anonymous mongo

u just don't see it, it IS going both ways theoretically. even the spokes are going both ways.

  25. Anonymous KRISHNA BAALU

    EXCELLENT MARVELOUS ! indeed

  26. Anonymous M 2 the H O

its not movin in any direction!
its 2 or 3 direrent pics changing.
the first pic has just a pic of the illusion the second has all the stokes inbetween the last ones, but when you put them together it looks like its spining

  27. Anonymous M 2 the H O

actually, if you follow a stoke with a red dot outside it, youll notice that the yellow dot on that stoke flashes on and off!

  28. Anonymous ...

if u stare at the V2 in the middle you will notice that the wheel is going anit-clockwise

  29. Anonymous shado.za

Actually, i think all of you are wrong. It might have something to do with this:
Ever watched the wheels on a car on TV?
As the car accelerates, the spokes on the wheel appear to move in the direction of travel. As the car carries on accelerating, it appears the spokes slow down, stop, and start rotating in the other direction!
While this maybe cos of frame rates, i believe the same effect is happening here, altho on a subliminal level...

    i can control it!

  31. Anonymous ♥!!SaRaH!!♥

    WOW thats kwl!!

  32. Anonymous Its Me

That's a total trip dude, the dots are going counterclockwise, and the wheel is going clockwise!!!

  33. Anonymous LoL

    Its all turning anti!!!!!!

  34. Anonymous freekay

attack of the red and yellow dots moving clockwise/anti-clockwise! aaaaaah!

  35. Anonymous no likey name

    cool dat

  36. Anonymous Anonymous

    Name:

SO CONFUSING. dots go round and round. they dont stop. wait..... AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

  37. Anonymous Travis

It's all moving counter-clockwise.. it's just that the yellow dots are moving faster than the red ones, i.e. they are moving over two or three "fans" at a time instead of just one like the red dots.

    I think that's right..

  38. Blogger Goran

It's not rotating nor clokcwise nor counterclockwise. It's just changing its halfs in a place. In one moment one half, in next moment other half of the circle

  39. Anonymous Nutty Cone

If you look closly at the wheel you'll be able to tell that the red dots are just circling the wheel and that it is actully moving clockwise.

  40. Blogger Blurr

The wheel is turning counterclockwise, but the yellow dots are turning clockwise. If you keep an eye on the red tots while at the same time on the yellow dots, every other frame the yellow dots are on the same spoke as the red dots.

  41. Anonymous Nikki

Thats weird but still it is simple 2 understand

  42. Anonymous Anonymous

well tecnically it doesnt really spin does it?

  43. Anonymous U2freak

    does that say U2???????
